In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television category on iOS in Saudi Arabia was dominated by five key apps, each showing unique trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, reveals insightful patterns for these applications.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ from MBC Group saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $970K in early July and peaking at around $1.39M by the end of September. Weekly downloads experienced a mid-quarter surge, reaching a high of 87.5K in the week of August 12. Active users climbed from 219K in early July to a peak of 251.8K by late September.

OSN+ experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, with a peak of $172.7K in mid-July and closing the quarter at $129.2K. Downloads showed a downward trend, decreasing from 26.5K in early July to around 16.4K by the end of September. Active users also declined from 125K to 111K over the quarter.

Disney+ demonstrated a steady revenue stream with a peak of $135.3K in late July, ending the quarter at $129.5K. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a significant spike to 30.5K in late September. Active users rose significantly from 149K in late July to a high of 194.9K in late September.

Crunchyroll maintained a stable revenue, averaging around $30K throughout the quarter, with a slight rise to $33.6K by the end. Downloads decreased steadily from 10.2K in early July to 4.1K at the end of September. Active users showed minimal fluctuation, hovering around 115K.

Amazon Prime Video had consistent revenue, with a minor increase from $22.6K to $23.6K by the end of the quarter. Downloads declined from 10.4K to 5.7K, while active users remained stable, fluctuating slightly around 43K.
